The Pet Market

On Sunday, to start off the day, we went to a pet market. The pet market had really cool pets. They also had food for pets and toys for pets and other things for pets.

These are the bunnies . . .

These are the bunnies . . .

For Cameron (fake bunny).

Mealy mealworms.

Eat, eat, eat the dog treats. Eat, eat, eat the dog treats.

Look at the kittens! (for K-K)

Bird, bird, little Nini.

Turtles.

A dead fish. Who might like to eat that?

Baby ducks, perhaps?

Time to get serious, and look at what we really came for.

A cricket.

I met a cricket master, named Mr. Lin. He was actually pretty crazy. He made lots of funny motions. I really liked him.

But we didn’t have enough money, so I had to wait while Dad searched for an ATM machine (most places in China don’t take credit cards).

Dad came back, and Mrs. Lin pointed out a good cricket.

We were bargaining. I had to do some quick math.

We bought a clay cricket house, with a bed and everything (you can see the bed in the bargaining picture). We bought four cricket cages and two crickets.

I did a cricket watercolor.

Do you like my gynormous cricket earrings?
