A Few More Things

Our trip to China is almost over! Here are a few things I didn’t get a chance to tell you about before.

We went to see some beautiful pagodas in Dali.

It was relaxing and cool by the pond.

I posed with a guard outside the city wall of Xi’an.

I also climbed the wall. I can fly!

These girls came over to my friend Ben and I while we were drawing at a museum. Mom says the more you draw, the more girls come.

One night, I got to look at the moon through a telescope.

Mom and I had tea at a beautiful tea table in our hotel in Lijiang.

We saw an orchestra that almost popped my eardrums.

We went to the Butterfly Spring. I caught a lot of butterflies on my finger. I even saved one with a broken wing.

We got some dragon water at a Buddhist Temple. I used it to do beautiful watercolors.

We went to a famous flower market in Kumning.

I made a friend who gave me snapdragons and blue roses for free. The flowers were very beautiful.

On our last day in Shanghai, we went around the city.

More cucumber eyes!

We went to another cricket market and got cricket ticklers, tongs, bowls and a new cage for our crickets. We are going to give our crickets to a Chinese friend named Qun. The crickets have been such good pets. They chirped for us all the time.

We bought some flowers from a lady on the street. These ladies are all over Shanghai. You pin the flowers on your shirt and they smell really good.

I also bought a Gundam.

Then we went to my favorite restaurant in Shanghai. It even has a dumbwaiter that takes food from the cooks on the first floor to the diners on the second floor.

Doesn’t the salmon and rice look so good? Also, there were lots of places I could pose my Gundam. It was a great end to the day.
