The Great Wall

Can you imagine how happy I was to go to the Great Wall of China.

They had this really awesome chairlift there, and we took it up the mountain.

We took some pictures on the chairlift.

We also took a picture of our friends, Ken and June, behind us. We went really high.

This was the first part I looked out on. I noticed we would have to walk a long way.

Maybe climbing the Great Wall wasn’t going to be so good.

By the time I got to the top, I felt like I didn’t have any legs left.

My mother forced me to smile.

The climbing was really steep.

This was how much farther I had to go to get back.

But at the end, my legs felt good enough to play some hacky sack.

And I kicked it really far.

To get down, there was this spectacular slide. (Can you see the Great Wall in the background?)

That was awesome!

Then I bought a hat.

It changed. My T-shirt changed too.

Afterwards, we went out to lunch. I put on my sleep hat.

Now I’m counting all the sleeping people on the bus back. We were heading to the Olympic Bird’s Nest, which I will tell you about later.
